PICTURE DAY TOMORROW!!!
This week in Kindergarten we will continue to learn about sequencing and sorting. The morning class had gym-sic and the afternoon classes wen to gym with Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Taylor. At the end of the day we give the children ten minutes to get themselves ready to go outside. If they have difficulty with zippers or snaps they can ask a buddy to help them. The buddies are usually those that are ready first. It is very helpful for your child if they can practice getting on their winter gear at home so that they are independently able to dress themselves Enjoy your evening The Kindergarten Team

Today all classes went to the Learning commons and got a new book if they had returned their other books. If you find a book at home please send it in as the children can visit the learning commons to get a new book almost anytime. Today in Kindergarten we continued to talk about the letter Tt and we made turkeys in our journals. We also talked about things that we are thankful for. Reminders: School picture day is Thursday October 13th. Please dress your child for the weather. Over the next few weeks we will be heading outside to look at the changes we can see with the change of the seasons. With the weather beginning to change it will be very helpful for your child to begin to practice getting on their winter clothing. Doing up zippers, snapping snaps and putting on hats and mitts is a really difficult task for many of them. Have a wonderful long weekend and Thanksgiving, The Kindergarten Team Today in Kindergarten the morning classes had gym-sic. Some of the classes talking about sorting and made groups in a variety of different ways. Other classes did predicting or the letter Tt.

School picture day is Thursday October 13th. Looking at the notes that came home about the Fall Scavenger hunt some of them were very hard to read to here is the note: Fall Scavenger Hunt Please find the following items and put them into a Ziploc bag. Once you have found the items, please bring them to school as we will be using them to do some math and art projects. Have fun and enjoy the beautiful fall weather! Red leaves Yellow leaves Green leaves Purple leaves Some twigs Some leaves with MORE than one colour on them Some berries (like from a Mountain Ash tree) Some grass, both green and brown Some pinecones Some stones or rocks...not too big, but bigger than gravel Feathers (you might not be able to find this item!) Anything else interesting that you find on your scavenger hunt! It is just a fun activity for you to do outside and we can take advantage of your collections in the classroom. We will use the items for a variety of things such as crafts, math (counting, patterning and sorting) as well as using them for science observations and experiments. You can send the items in when you have them and we understand that not everyone will have the time to do this activity. Please dress your child for the weather. In the afternoon we had gym-sic too! On Friday many of the morning classes brought home a Fall scavenger hunt note (Mrs. Decottignies forgot to send her so they will come home tomorrow).
