Today in Kindergarten some of the classes talked about the letter Tt and other classes read a story and predicted what was going to happen next. The morning T group learned a song about the turkey tango and in the afternoon some of us watched a video with a Tt song.
Looking at the notes that came home about the Fall Scaavenger hunt some of them were very hard to read to here is the note: Fall Scavenger Hunt Please find the following items and put them into a Ziploc bag. Once you have found the items, please bring them to school as we will be using them to do some math and art projects. Have fun and enjoy the beautiful fall weather! Red leaves Yellow leaves Green leaves Purple leaves Some twigs Some leaves with MORE than one colour on them Some berries (like from a Mountain Ash tree) Some grass, both green and brown Some pinecones Some stones or rocks...not too big, but bigger than gravel Feathers (you might not be able to find this item!) Anything else interesting that you find on your scavenger hunt! It is just a fun activity for you to do outside and we can take advantage of your collections in the classroom. We will use the items for a variety of things such as crafts, math (counting, patterning and sorting) as well as using them for science observations and experiments. You can send the items in when you have them and we understand that not everyone will have the time to do this activity. Reminders: There is no school on: Friday, October 7 for a Professional Development day Monday October 10th for the Thanksgiving weekend. School picture day is Thursday October 13th. Please dress your child for the weather. Over the next few weeks we will be heading outside to look at the changes we can see with the change of the seasons. With the weather beginning to change it will be very helpful for your child to begin to practice getting on their winter clothing. Doing up zippers, snapping snaps and putting on hats and mitts is a real difficult task for many of them. Please feel free to add comments to blog but also remember that they are public, so anyone will be able to read them. Have a good evening The K team
