Some of us were put into groups and asked a question like how many hands in our group? Did you know that a group of four may have 5 hands but some have 8. I don't get why but we will all figure it out! Then we needed to figure out how many fingers there were in our group!! In the afternoon we had gym-sic. We played some games and got to do lots of running around. Mrs. Smith read her favorite book to her class today and they are starting a project that the rest of us will be doing at some point. In the morning and afternoon classes we shared what we did on our winter break. We wrote a journal entry together, listening for the sounds that we hear in each word and writing them down. After we did this together, we each did our own journal entry, sounding out our words the best that we could and drawing a picture to go with our writing. We also talked about our new month...January and our new year...2016!!! Many of you have sent in pictures of numbers that you see in the environment...please keep sending them in! Please return your child's report card envelope. Thank you! Have a great evening, The K Team |
