Today in Kindergarten we went to gym to use the gymnastic equipment for a little while before heading back to begin our art job! All of the classes did different projects so you will need to ask me what my class did.
When the day was almost finished we had a fire drill. We did a great job of leaving the school quickly especially with all the ice outside. Once back in the school we talked about different things that could happen when the fire bell rang and wha twe would do if they happened. An example is if we were in the bathroom. We would just hurry and an adult would be by to check to see if the bathroom was empty. I yell "I am here!" and they will wait for me. Valentines is next week and we thought that you might want to work on them this weekend. We are asking that you just have your child sign their name and not worry about filling in the "to" part. It makes it much easier to hand out when we are not trying to read so many different names and match them. here are the number of students in each class: Mrs Decottignies am 23 Mrs Decottignies pm 23 Mrs. Bridle 22 Mrs. Smith 21 Mrs Osadec 23 Mrs. Yacyshyn 22 Reminders: No school February 11 and 12 for Teachers Convention Monday February 15th for Family Day Have a great weekend The Kindergarten team

AM Kindergarten Tomorrow
Yesterday we read a story about doing kind things for others and "filling their buckets". We read that when we do unkind things or don't talk nicely we empty people's buckets. We are all working hard to be bucket fillers! Today in Kindergarten the morning group had gym-sic and gymnastics will continue for one more week. We also read our story for the day. Our friends are sure bringing in some great stories. This afternoon we did some writing and later in the day we heard about Gregory's shadow. I might be able to tell you about it! Our new need this week is 2 litre milk containers and toy flyers. Reminders that there is no school on: February 11th and 12th Teacher's Convention February 15th Family DayEnjoy your evening The Kindergarten team Today in Kindergarten we talked about Groundhog day and made a groundhog for the G page in our sketchbooks. Our groundhog has his shadow with him just like the one from our story.
