The kindergarten classes were busy today completing a project called 'Me and a Tree". The students had to draw a picture of themselves, a picture of a tree and then print any letters and numbers that they know! They worked very hard on this!
The afternoon classes had a chance to visit the new Learning Commons...what an amazing space!! The students got an overview of all that is in the Learning Commons, besides books. There is so much to do including building on the Lego wall, working at the iPad stations and creating masterpieces at the art centre. Next week we will learn how to sign out books from the Learning Commons. If you have any seeds left over from your gardening this year, we would love to use them in our Kindergarten garden. Remember to please book your parent-teacher conferences on-line. The conferences are this Thursday and Friday. There will be no school for students this Friday. Also, a reminder that snacks must be NUT FREE! We are a nut-free school, because of allergies.
