Today we went on a fall walk in the naturalization area. We looked at the leaves on different tree and saw how some trees have lost almost all of their leaves and others have leaves that are still green. We even have a larch tree so we saw the differences between it and an evergreen tree.
Please dress your child for the weather. Over the next few weeks we will be heading outside to look at the changes we can see with the change of the seasons. With the weather beginning to change it will be very helpful for your child to begin to practice getting on their winter clothing. Doing up zippers, snapping snaps and putting on hats and mitts is a real difficult task for many of them. On Thursday the morning group will be running the Terry Fox run with the rest of the school. You are welcome to join us. The afternoon group will be doing it together out in the school field. In addition, our student voice group has set our school fundraising goal to $5000 to raise money for cancer research. We will be collecting donations at the front office from September 19th - 29th. Please make all cheques payable to the Terry Fox Foundation. You can find more detailed information about our Terry Fox run on our school newsletter. Please feel free to add comments to blog but also remember that they are public, so anyone will be able to read them. REMINDER: There is no school on Friday, October 7 for a Professional Development day or Monday October 10th for the Thanksgiving weekend. School picture day is October 13th. Enjoy your evening The Kindergarten Team
