Today in Kindergarten most of the classes read another favorite book. On days where a favorite book has been forgotten each class does their own thing. In Mrs. Decottignies pm class we talked about the number 1 and how many different ways we could show it. In Mrs. Taylors class they wrote a journal entry about what they like to do in the snow.
On the top right side of this page you will see a new heading that says home reading. We are trying to offer a variety of activities that will help your child with letter recognition, letter sounds and as well as beginning reading skills. If you click on the words you will be taken to a page that will have a nursery rhyme with some activities for you to do with your child. Please do not feel that this is a requirement, it is an optional activity for you to do. This page will be updated weekly. If you have received a green letter ring for your child please remember to return it on a regular basis so that it can be updated for your child. **Please remember to send back the white envelopes that report cards came home in. Stay warm, The Kindergarten Team

I love this new addition of home reading. I want to help my son with letters and words but wasn't quite sure how. The activites you gave are awesome and gives me a direction to go. Thanks for this. Looking forward to trying it with him tomorrow :-)
